We Have Been Tested

Updated: Jun 5, 2023

The Covid Pandemic took everybody by surprise. It has taken me until now to even think about this blog. Friends have gotten sick and some have died, but not from the virus--from the vaccine. I will leave this topic now. I don't want to upset or alienate anyone more than I have...

I will ramble a bit:

I joined a songwriting group, 100 Days of Songwriting. It's purpose is to give us gentle accountability. I have three songs that I am pretty happy with. And I am working on the fourth one today. I'll be sharing them on my Band Camp page (See Welcome Page for Link).

I am trying to figure out how to record with my Tascam recorder that I purchased the day before Bob Carpenter's emergency and subsequent passing. Maybe I will figure out how to record with it before it is obsolete. It has been almost seven years.

I finished my new play, Mother Wounds. It is a One Act (52 pages) with 6 characters, 4 women and 2 men, minimal props/set.

The Dramatists Guild had a challenge to write a play during the month of April. I am not really following their guidelines, more or less winging it. I can't deal with the 'woke' thing that is going on, (she/her, he/him, they/them) so I am staying clear of confrontations concerning this time in the world cycle. Everything changes. So I will wait, or die waiting. It does irk me to pay $11.00 each month to have to march to their beat if I want to take part in activities.
